Urban October is a time of raising awareness, promoting participation, generating knowledge, and engaging the international community on sustainable urban development. UN-Habitat declared the whole month “Urban October” in 2014, with two international days relating to its mandate, World Habitat Day is on the first Monday of the month and World Cities Day is on 31 October.
The project was realized based on Rama Nimri's personal travel diaries. Rama is an urban planner in the UN who works on developing better living environments in refugee camps.
